+THE PRESIDENTS CORNER+
Annual Meeting, March 17th & 2PM

This meeting is a requirement for our association. Each year there is an election to fill the Board seats that become vacated. This year we have two Directors who are resigning from the Board. It is important that we have a functioning Board to provide direction for the future. All owners are asked to consider playing a role on our Board. We are asking that you consider putting your name up in nomination. The form can be obtained from the office or directly from President Sikorski. This must be done NOW !!!

Grounds
The Grounds Committee is in the process updating the landscape around the Sands. The committee needs volunteers with “Green Thumbs” to help. Please contact Lynn Stiles (C306), Jane DeMado (B202) or Sylvia Washbourn (C304)

Water Conversation
Here a few tips on water conversation that will both save dollars but more importantly save the environment – From Vice President Lamar Persing:

Bathrooms -

  1. Repair all leaks – Washers Seals, Leaky Toilets
  2. Plastic jugs or some object (like a brick) to take up space in the toilet tank so less water is used
  3. Shower – Make sure you are using a “low flow” shower head – Take shorter showers
  4. Install aerators on faucets -
    turn off water while brushing your teeth – soap hands then rinse – rinse razor in partially full sink

Kitchen –

  1. Soak dishes, pots, pans in sink with soapy water
  2. Only use dish washer when full

Washing Machine –

  1. Adjust water level for the size of the wash load
