This meeting is a requirement for our association. Each year there is an election to fill the Board seats that
become vacated. This year we have two Directors who are resigning from the Board. It is important that we have a
functioning Board to provide direction for the future. All owners are asked to consider playing a role on our Board.
We are asking that you consider putting your name up in nomination. The form can be obtained from the office or directly
from President Sikorski. This must be done NOW !!!

The Grounds Committee is in the process updating the landscape around the Sands. The committee needs volunteers

Here a few tips on water conversation that will both save dollars but more importantly save the
environment – From Vice President Lamar Persing:
turn off water while brushing your teeth – soap hands then rinse – rinse razor in partially full sink

To those of you, who arrived recently, WELCOME BACK! Let’s hope our weather this year is much warmer than the extended
cold spell we had last year. I encourage all of you to either attend the monthly Board Meetings or thoroughly read the
meeting minutes. That is the very best way to stay on top of the events, changes and proposed changes
that will be taking place this season at the Sands. The Board Meetings in January and February tend to set up changes that will be made during the 2011 season. One last thing, we need a few candidates to run for the Board at this year’s Annual Meeting. Two of our directors are retiring and we need replacements -.WELCOME BACK, let’s have a spectacular season and I will see you at the TIKI on Wednesday’s.

personal liability, and hurricane insurance.

The Grounds Committee is in the process of formalizing plans for updating the landscape around the Sands.
PRINTER CARTRIGES
Please give your used printer cartridges to Tim for recycling. We ship them postage free and receive cash – about $100 per year to help pay for office expenses (every little bit helps!). So save your cartridges, wrap them in a paper towel and give them to Tim.

Also – Every year mortgage lenders require updated proof of flood insurance. You may receive a letter
threatening that the lender will purchase for you at a hugely inflated cost unless you can prove insurance is in place.
This year, The Sands, has changed flood insurance agents and carriers. It is now easier than ever to get the certificates
you need. There are three options: 1) Call 1-800-263-7435; 2) Fax 1-800-263-5663;
or email customerservice@ameriflood.com. The best part is that once
you have Ameriflood provide your lender with the information they need, you will not be bothered any more. Ameriflood
will automatically send the renewal information to your lender each year so you are not caught in the middle.
